How it works

Oriental Botanicals Breastfeeding Care contains four herbs with a long history of traditional use to help support breastfeeding mothers as detailed below.

Goat’s rue which is traditionally used to promote lactation in traditional Western herbal medicine. Its common name is a reference to the observation in medieval times that consuming it increased milk production in goats, and its botanical name Galega officinalis is thought to be derived from the Greek word for milk (gala).

Based on its use in traditional Western herbal medicine, Vervain increases breast milk production.

Fenugreek improves breast milk production based on its traditional use in Western herbal medicine.

Shatavari has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine, where it’s traditionally been used by women wishing to improve breast milk production for hundreds of years.

Breastfeeding mothers may also like to consider taking Oriental Botanicals Conception & Pregnancy Care, which supports the increased nutritional needs of breastfeeding women.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I am so happy to report that it seems to have made a real difference to my milk supply! In the last week I have even been able to express some extra milk. I now have 3 or 4 full feeds stored in the freezer!!!! So I am very happy with it. Thank you!!
